Turning down the volume so I can hear!

Phillipians 4:8

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

I have a love for gospel rap, and sometimes. I like to ride with my music loud. Before I turn it up to the max. My phone displays a warning. The warning basically tells me that high volume can be dangerous. By reading it, im aware and its my choice if, I would like to continue with unsafe volume . The louder The music The less you hear. All your hearing is the lyrics, if someone decides to talk to you it’s muffled and drowned out. So you have to turn the volume down so you can hear what’s being said.

It’ll be nice if we incorporate in our lives the display warning. Learn that high volume voices can be dangerous. But we have a choice. To allow it to increase louder or keep it at a safe level. So that you’ll be able to hear important voices. They’re people who are stagnant in life because they keep remembering what someone said to them in the past and its plays loud in their head today. Words like they’ll never be married, lose weight, have children, go to college or start a buisness. They’ll never survive a divorce, Cancer or a loss. Its loud, a little to loud. All that, is at a unsafe level. Because the voice you need to pay attention to. You can’t hear good. The voice that says step out on faith, ignore the negativity, stop Doubting yourself, take it one day at a time, how all sickness is not unto death etc. …

The Bible teaches in phil 4:8, what we should think on. It teaches us about the importance of our thoughts and gives us the answer on how to stay focused. If you keep allowing opinions, bad advice, gossip, lies, doubt. And let’s not forget yourself, you and your own insecurities. That have nothing to do with anyone else. You’ll live your life adding on to the list of regrets. Turn the volume down. Its time to move forward. Little progress is better than no progress. Think on what God has already done. And trust him for what he can do. It’s always facts over fiction. If you can remember one thing he’s done for you. Then you can only imagine the millions of things you’ve forgotten.
